Somerset Therapeutics Private Limited was established in the year 1987 as a partnership firm under the name ‘Recon Pharma’. On 23rd August 1990, ‘Recon Pharma Private Limited’ was incorporated to take over the business of the partnership firm. Later, on 1st March 1993, the name of the Company was changed to Recon Private Limited. Further, on 5th March 1993, the legal structure of the Company was reconstituted to a public limited company and the name was consequently changed to Recon Limited. Later, on 10th July 2000, the Company’s name was changed to Wintac Limited. Recently, on 8th December 2021, the name of the Company was changed to Somerset Therapeutics Limited. Further, on 23rd April 2024, the legal structure of the company was changed to a private limited company and the name of the company was changed to its present name.

Somerset Therapeutics Private Limited is a subsidiary of Veego Pharma LLC, USA and is promoted by Dr.Veerappan Subramanian, a person of Indian Origin and based in United States.
Dr. Veerappan Subramanian is a seasoned pharmaceutical scientist and entrepreneur with a track record of starting, developing, managing and turning around pharmaceutical companies. He has over fifty years of experience in the generic pharmaceutical industry. VEEGO Group of Companies led by their executive team have excellent end-to-end expertise in all aspects of pharmaceutical business in the US and all regulated markets and has expertise in product identification, formulation development, ANDA Filing, Manufacturing, Quality Control, Compliance and Regulatory affairs. Somerset Therapeutics LLC, the marketing arm of VEEGO group, markets and distributes products to all channels of trade including chain drug stores, hospitals, long term care facilities, etc practically covering the entire US Market.
Somerset is the manufacturing arm of Veego group, US professionally managed and facilitated manufacturing company with an experienced team of qualified professionals that are committed to developing & manufacturer high-quality pharmaceutical formulations using innovative technologies and meeting the cGMP standards, which are continuously updated to international requirements.
